The first meeting of the newly formed CEC of the Republic of Artsakh was held

20210226_120518 According to Article 42 of the Electoral Code of the Republic of Artsakh, after the parliamentary elections of the Republic of Artsakh held on March 31, 2020, a new Central Electoral Commission is formed within the established time frame. By the decree of the President of the Republic of Artsakh of February 25, 2021, the new composition of the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Artsakh was established, which convened its first meeting on February 26 of this year at 12: 00. The first meeting was attended by all the newly appointed members, and representatives of the mass media were invited to the administrative building of the Central Electoral Commission of the Artsakh Republic (Knunyantsneri 2, Stepanakert). The meeting was chaired by the elder member of the Central Electoral Commission Mikael Soghomonyan. The issues of the election of the Chairman, Deputy Chairman and Secretary of the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Artsakh were discussed at the meeting. Siran Avetisyan was elected Chairwoman of the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Artsakh by secret ballot, Mikael Soghomonyan was elected Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Artsakh, and Tiran Vahramovich Atanesyan was elected Secretary of the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Artsakh. The newly formed Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Artsakh will take office on March 1, 2021.
